Has anyone been recently? Im just wondering what its like at the minute with all the rain we've been having?

I quite like Cannock when it's been raining, apart from the bd slimy rocks it doesn't affect grip too much as the surface is slippy when dry anyway.

I haven't been for a couple of weeks but would imagine that it is pretty water logged on some runs, especially under the trees. Pretty big puddles seem to form quite quickly from relatively little rain so I wouldn't be surprised if some areas are nigh on impossible to ride at the moment.

Been in t'Alps - first ride out on the singlespeed tonight.

However, from extensive experience and judging from the going underfoot whilst walking the dogs twice daily, I'd say it's muddy and it will make that sort of "£1.50 per mile" grinding noise on your brakes and drivetrain. HTH.

Yeah Ive got a new Cube bike on the way and I dont fancy getting it ruined on the first day out but Im more concerned about not being able to get up any of the hills if they're all mud.

I've been a couple of times in the last few weeks. It's holding up pretty well, so not much mud. There are a lot of large puddles though, and there's one on the upper cliff descent that is a LOT deeper than it looks.....

Big stinky puddles, lots of them, at least it was on Sunday Morning. My 5-ten shoes are now in the shed as the smell of chase water was too unpleasant to have them in the porch.

I went a while back after a lot of rain. Trails seemed fine.

You can see from the big puddles there had been a lot of rain (puddles were pretty deep too) but easy to avoid, trails were a bit slippery were rocky but other than that they were fine and still running pretty quick.

Nice video. Yeah the trails dont look too bad there at all. If Im not too hungover tomorrow I might take a run up.
