cant see this myself, Voigt has a season left in him before he finally breaks, the guy is 41, he will start ot fall apart rapidly and there is nothing that Jens does that the likes of Stannard, Swift, Kennaugh and Thomas can not do.Unless they sign some new riders, Omega havent got enough people to support Cav for a green jersey, despite what people say, I cant see Cav being a Classics man, Omega are a Belgian team, they live for rain, cobbles and more rain.... that all said, somewhere like Omega may give Cav time to spend on the track...

Sky are still a reasonably "young" team. Yes, it has some utterly phenomenal young riders which bodes well for the future, but I can't think of anyone on their team who could be called a "veteran" (Wiggins, almost?), in the same way BMC had Hincapie, RadioSchleck has/had (?!) Voigt, Garmin has Miller etc. Voigt could bring a lot to Sky and the younger JV-in-the-makings could learn a lot from him. If RS implode, I can see JV in black and blue. And should be get another year, I'll be sure to be out there watching!

was thinking about this today, if Cav really wants to plot a return to the track, why would he leave Brailsford, Perkins and the GB set up?... makes no sense, surely he would accept that points competitions are a non-starter and go for the one day classics that suit him, Milan-San Remo etc...
Personally I don't think Cav will ever return to the track, it will just mean such a huge change from his programme on the road (let's face it he's no spring chicken anymore). I was also thinking, if he were to stay at Sky, there's virtually no chance of him getting the green points jersey now that Wiggins and Froome are now regarded as the leaders of the team and going for GC. I can't see Sky investing too much time and effort into lead out trains. Stage wins are great for Cav but without the green jersey, there's definitely something missing.
I can see this happening, it does make sense. The only doubt is Cav's wish to return to the track - was he serious, or was it being caught up in the emotion of it all?
Sky are now a GT team, everything is set up to challenge/ win in the 3 GT's. Going on his own for one TdeF is one thing, but every time he races in a GT.....I'm not sure he'd be too pleased with that.
Which is were OPQS makes sense; a lot of ex HTC staff; he is meant to be close to Brian Holm. Post Classics, do they really do anything? Having Cav can give them wins in GT's.....
Sky have signed Kiriyenka from Movistar, and as above there are rumours of Jens joining, Flecha leaving.... With RadioShack in turmoil, I'd love to see Spartacus at Sky....that would sort their Classics campaign out.

Yes, it's starting to look like Cav will be off. Understandably.
I suspect there will be a gentlemen's agreement between Sky and Cav that they will focus on GC (and maybe KOM?) and leave the green jersey for him (if he can) - in the spirit of greater success for British Cycling.
Especially if he's still got designs on the team pursuit at Rio.
