Storage on a carbon frame

Hi all,
Just bought a carbon frame mountain bike after much deliberation, collecting it in Saturday (fingers crossed!).

Question is: can you attach light bags to the frame? I'm talking about something like the Topeak Tri bag which attaches with Velcro. I'm doing the C2C in a couple of weeks and would be handy to have somewhere accessible for food as I travel, I just want to make sure it's not a big no-no on a carbon frame?

yes, wont be a problem, at all. carbon frames are far more durable than people assume.

The velcro will be fine but just make sure you don't subject the carbon to water or it'll warp and crack

I'm sure the bag will be fine providing there are no metal parts that could rub/score/gouge etc. If you're really worried about wear then you can tape the areas where the straps are going to attach to the frame. You can also buy get pads for any parts that either knock or rub frequently.

I bought some additional pads to protect my frame from a brake cable as the occasional knock started to mark the paintwork.
