Browsing TI stuff, I found this on the Litespeed web site.
I wouldn't have fitted cables like this:

Probably couldn't afford any better after splashing out on a Litespeed.

Also forgot to turn the barrel adjuster out a turn to allow for tweaking both ways.

its a european set up so the front brake is on the left hand side. looks very strange though having the two brake levers in the same shot though, especially from that angle!

That is a poor cable run and will not provide smooth brake activation or modulation.

Here's my roadie, correctly trimmed to length and nice smooth runs wink

It was the cable run that I thought wasn't too clever, I'd missed the adjuster - unless it's done that way, since stretch and pad wear will only make you want to adjust out not in.

Yes, Ross; that's dead neat. I bought a Honda mower recently - I re-ran the cables on that, as they were set up for rapid wear.

Adjust out to compensate for a bit of buckled wheel or similar?

That depends how you want the brakes to feel and where you want the bite point. Some people like a long throw of the lever some prefer minimal.

Another advantage would be, for rim brake users, to wind the brake out if the wheel got buckled so you could get home without a rubbing brake.

how many bikes do you see with the rear brake cable running on the down tube? wink

interestingly, there are no gear cables in shot and its clearly an mtb, single speed? unfinished? I still cant believe someone would buy a litespeed frame and put stty £15 bars on it....

Guess that depends on the frame and where the cable stops are mounted. If I did that on mine the wires would be dragging on the frame which is neither great for shifting or the paint
