DH World Champs - Peaty racing?

It's the Worlds this weekend, awesome. I was just checking over the offical UCI entry list.

Notice Peaty isn't on the list, however he IS going, says so on his twitter account, (although doesn't mention racing in fairness). Also PInkbike were doing a bit about how me might retire this year (they say that every year) and this will be his final Worlds (maybe).
Brendon Fairclough is on the list (admittedly with a 'X' for replacement next to it) although, his twitter says he's not going because he didn't make the cut.
Also it shows Sam Dale is on the list, despite being ranked 50th, to Brendon's 27th, and 27th isn't really a fair representation of his ability IMHO anyway, he's just not had a great first year on Scott.

I don't follow DH racing much these days, but SP's had a crap year and I wonder whether his heart's in it any more. It must be 20 years since he started so I can't blame him if he quits, I mean I started racing back in 1994/5 and it seems like a lifetime ago!
He won a BDS round last weekend. He also raced Ft. Bill WC with a snapped Hamstring rolling down the course without pedalling. I think the will is still there, but at 38 or so the body must. E struggling against the young guns.I agree.

Unsure why Brendan didn't get picked over Sam dale. Brendan's had a few injuries this year too so that could be it.
I don't think Sam knew why himself but he's a nice enough lad. probably one of the most down to earth racers you can meet.
Really the only 2 guys competing from gb are atherton and bryceland.
