no mention of a driving ban, and leaving the scene of an accident is an offense too isn't it? the sentence may be a good result for the charge brought, but surely if you leave someone for dead they ought to be able to charge you with manslaughter?

As to the driver; I think five years imprisonment might have been more just, along with a ten year ban.

Pretty unlucky to get mashed up again after being disabled by a collision with a car in the first place. A prison sentence is appropriate, though I'd say only 50% longer than Ten Pence Short's sentence seems lenient given the aggravating circumstances of alcohol and leaving the scene.

I'm glad, I think it's the least he deserves. But it doesn't explain the number of people who seem to drive with equal disregard for cyclists when they're sober.
