Bargain weight loss. New bike.

I've been putting off getting my Son his first pedal bike as he love his Jumper to bits and the rear suspension really works on our local MTB trails which helps his confidence.
Anyway, this morning I bit the bullet and called to order a CNCOC 14. That'll be £199 was the response. Ouch, the buggers have put the price up again but here's where it gets interesting (well to me anyway). The price increase is because they're brought out a new model which is massive 1.5 kilos lighter than the old model. 1.5 kilos is a huge drop in weight for only £40 extra. If only the adult world of cycling was like this.
The new one weighs 5.7kg, which is perfect for a first bike. Compare that to the likes of the 12" wheeled Spesh hotrock which is 7.65kg.
