What Second-Hand MTB £2k AM flavour

As per title really.

I'm having to come to terms with the fact my beloved Spicy isn't coming back.

Our insurance company aren't able to help because it was in the shed rather than the house - should have checked that...

Anyway, I can probably put together about £2000.

I like 6" All-mountain bikes, I ride mostly trail centres (Afan, Cwmcarn and Brechfa are my local trails) and whilst I know a 6" is a bit much for that sort of thing I also ride the odd DH track on it, go to Morzine or Whistler every year riding the parks and there's a new bike park due to open up 30 mins from me next year.

I don't want another Spicy, loved the bike, but, I don't know why after having it stolen I don't want another one.

Any suggestions?

have you checked out Canyons 2013 range? Some beautiful bikes on there and well kitted out.

for £2k you should be able to get something pretty spicy

Canyon Nerve AL 8.0 is only £1639 leaving loads left over to treat yourself to a new lid, jersey etc, just why wouldnt you?!?!....

Have to admit Caynon haven't really turned up on my radar. The Nerve is a bit lightweight / short-travel for me, but I'll have a look at the Strive.

El Guapo from on-one with full X9, Reverb and CCDB Air for £2k gets my vote. CRC have also got 20% off the Mega at the mo as well, £1700 for the Comp and £2200ish for the Pro, but only in Small.

All very sensible suggestions, however I've just spotted a year and a bit old Cove G-Spot for sale and the force is strong with that one...

Turner 5 spot is worth a looksee. Okay, only 5 inches of travel but they feel bottomless compared to my old Whyte 46, which was rubbish by comparison. They're also superbly built and such a tough bit of kit. Because the frame is so tough you can build a great light-ish Enduro or heavier AM bike depending on the kit.
