Advice on Tenerife routes

Right, we have 3 days cycling in tenerife booked in December. Just in early stages of planning an itinerary and im hoping some people on here will have been already on a cyclin trip.

Basically we only have two full days of cycling and then a half day.

1st day plan to take the TF-21 from medano to the top of Teide. Stopping on the top.
2nd day back do TF-38 to the coast Puerto de santiago and back along the coast to medano.

Apart from day 1 - just want nice long easy rides - will the coast road be nice / scenic? should I be looking at a different route down from Teidi and back to Medano?

What clothing do you recommend for the trip up Teidi - current temps is 1 degrees!

you defo need a cape arm and legwarmers,for the decent!! i used a Lusso 2XS jacket windproof and breathable and folds to the size of a fag packet,its cold up there and a long way to the top :-)
