Replace tyre?

not sure whether this is about to go boom, what do you think? only done 1200 miles so would rather keep tyre if possible

It is fine

Let the tyre down so it is flat and check that there is no sharp bits in the cut pump back up.

Another trick is to let the tyre down and glue it back tort her just like a puncture repair just using glue in the cut so as to seal it up.

Just in case it lets go bang carry a piece of rubber sheet or card type material to put between the inner tube and tyre to get you home. at the weekend one of my mates ripped the side wall out of his tyre and a piece of cardboard litter found at the side of the road did the job.

I have shoo goo maybe i'll give that a try. Would an inner tube card box act as a temp tyre carcass?
