Anyone Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay based?

I'm at my sisters in Herne Bay for Christmas and fancy a ride out on Boxing day morning to shake out the crimbo cobwebs. Thinking of doing a H-Bay-whitstable-Canterbury loop any decent routes anyone?

I live in Whitstable, going through the town today on my bike and the roads are in a mess IMO. (Although Whitstable itself is lovely)

If I were you I would head towards Beltinge, across towards Marshside (various routes available) ending up in Upstreet. From there maybe down into Grove Ferry heading towards Littlebourne and then Bridge. Then maybe back through Canterbury up to Blean then to Whitstable/Herne Bay

This kind of thing avoids the main roads and there are loads of variations to make it longer/shorter

I would ride but not on boxing day, plans with the family!

I have friends in north canterbury/whitstable road, so might do as you suggest but in reverse (will likely be invited in for mulled).

Heading out Military Road/Little Borurne way rather than Tyler Hill looks like it might pum the mileage up ut not be too lumpy?

Yea that would increase the mileage for sure, it's not hilly out there, I would maybe go via Fordwich (Britains smallest town!) and via the rural roads.

Try not to go near Littlebourne Rd, it's very dangerous for cyclists.
