Something retro... What are these shifters?

Apologies for the poor image, it's shamelessly borrowed from eBay.



Anyone shed some light as to what these shifters are... My initial bafflement has subsided... Are they just thumb shifters weirdly mounted?

Looks like an old Campag break levers and hoods from the pic, I might be wrong but I'm sure Campag mounted the gear levers in this position on some of their group sets years ago. Like I say, probably wrong.

They look like Suntour Accushift, Built onto a brake lever, maybe suntour levers as well... (see pic)
