Winter gloves recommendation
Discussion
I've just started riding into work this Winter (and yes, I am aware Winter started some time ago, I have been a bit of a wuss in getting started...). It's 12k in London, so not that harsh.
Anyway, can anyone recommend me some winter gloves? I am thinking full-finger (but would like to be able still to use my iPhone, if that is possible).
I have some fingerless Gore gloves which are great, but a bit nippy.
Thanks in advance!

I've got some of these. http://www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=106&a...
They're wind proof, fairly waterproof (showers are fine, but they aren't marigolds so at some point it soaks through).
These are similar but hi-vis: http://www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=106&a...

I picked up some of these yesterday:

Went out on our club training ride this morning, average temp of 1c. They were great, hands still felt the cold a little at the start of the ride, but soon warmed up and didn't sweat too much.
Enough feel for gears and brakes too.
Well pleased with them.

I got some Rapha Winter Gloves for Christmas and have been very impressed with them... Kept me nice and warm over the festive period. Held up pretty well in the rain, considering they're water resistant, not waterproof - the only real moisture of note seemed to be sweat inside the gloves. They're a bit hard to get back on when like that, but it just means having to tug at them a bit more. Once back on they're great and I can't notice any moisture.
Certainly recommended from this user.
£60 instead of £75 at the mo' too.

Bargain then...
Can't go wrong with the dhb Amberley II gloves. They are good from 15 degree to just below freezing, then below that the dhb Extreme Winter would be a better choice.
Pair of 3 in 1 ski gloves from Sports Direct. £14 and far warmer than the cycling gloves I've had

Waterproof ones are only a fiver more!

I was going to suggest that earlier , but given the amount of money people seem happy to sink into " specialist cycling kit " nowadays I didnt want to be called a cheapskate

I presently use a 15 year old pair of Assos gloves that are not going to be with me on the mornings ride gioven the expected temp tomorrow.
Ski gloves it will be.
Everytime I visit the Frozen North with work (Norway, Sweden, Finland) all the locals seem to wear Hestra gloves. http://hestragloves.com/en/
There are gloves with special fabric tips for using touch screen phones, like these:

Not sure how thick/warm they are for cycling though.

Ski gloves are too bulky IMO.
Depends on what cycles you do I guess, but they make gear changes a pain on MTB or road bikes, especially STI gears.

Lots of variable depending on how you ride, but ski gloves certainly keep you toasty.
I've got Endura Dexter Windproof gloves and they have been fine and even survive small showers.I was out for an hour and half today and the temp was barely 1C and my hands were fine.
I would recommend going to a larger retailer like evans and trying on as many as you can. I got fed up looking online and guessing the sizes.
