alternative to stock brompton pads

I'm getting a bit cheesed off with the very short life span of the stock brompton pads - especially in wet weather.

is there any viable alternatives? I have read bit on the internet about kool stop brake pads but there isnt much out there...

the brompton inserts appear to be the cheapest option out there at the minute but it is a false economy if I'm having to change them every 3 months..

TBH, if you're getting 3 months out of Rim based pads in the wet, you're doing well....
I'm through a set in about 6 weeks!
