What roadie back wheel for a "large" bloke?

I've got a Specialized Secteur Triple, my beloved. However, being a roadie with no rear suspension, and me being on the larger side of fat, I've managed to buckle the rear wheel (and burst the rear tyre. In the sleet. Which was nice).
It's currently on Alexrims S480s running 700x25c tyres. Can I get some wheels that are less likely to buckle under my humongous backside? Obviously I need to pay more attention, but the general state of the roads on my commute means I'm bound to miss the odd bump or two.

Specialized wheels are ste of the highest order. Machine-built, mass-produced-to-a-pricepoint tosh. Get in contact with a god wheelbuilder (Paul Hewitt, Harry Rowland, Wheelsmith etc), explain your requirements and they'll build something up to the job, 1000000x better than the OE tat.

Have a look at dt Swiss rims built onto a 32 hole hub. I'd go for the rr585 on a shimano 105 hub which will be a nice wheel for anyone regardless of size!

The mavic cxp22 is worth a look too. A few people seem to think that the mavic open pro isn't what it used to be and survives on reputation now.

Hope Pro III hub laced to an Open Pro 2 rim would be bombproof. Get one built up and you can't go wrong.

I would second the Mavic Open Pro rims, but if you want to save a couple of quid the 105 hubs are fine. Most handbuilt wheel builders (like Harry Rowland) offer these as their 'entry level' wheels, a hand built set of Open Pro's would fairly much be bombproof. I am only an 11 st weakling but I have a set of these on my CX bike and they have seen a lot of abuse but still run smooth and true.
