Out for a ride on Saturday along the union canal near Edinburgh and both myself and my brother noticed we had punctures. After an inspection, it was discovered that I had three punctures in my rear tyre and one in my front tyre, and he had a further three punctures in his rear tyre all at once!

Needless to say, we didn't have enough patches and inner-tubes to deal with this, but luckily we were on the last two miles of a 52 mile ride.

What are the chances?

To predict the odds we would need to know how many miles you have ridden without punctures, and the proximity of the nearest cut piece of hedging

Can I have the record for the shortest road race, only just managed to get over the start line, but managed to miss my pedal, put my foot in the wheel, snapping a spoke and bending a couple more, thus rendering me out of the race

Edited to add, have now replaced cleats, and binned the silly carbon sole protectors, perfect engagement first time now
