New set of guards required

I have had a set of SKS Chromoplastic guards on my Kinesis which I only bought in Jan. Was out riding on Saturday and the rear guard decided to snap at the bracket under the brake mount, which in turn sent the back piece under the other bit and brought me to a very abrupt halt. After un-jamming the wheel, realised it had snapped clean off. I hadn't long gone over a set of rumble strips designed to slow cars.

They seemed to be pretty good guards and kept most of the muck off me, however I dont want to buy another set for them to go again. It seems that theres a few sets gone like this from threads posted on the net

Anyone recommend any solid guards which dont break after five minutes?

I have a set of Crud Roadracers, they are plastic but mine have seen quite a lot of abuse and show no signs of falling apart.

They are a bit of a fiddle to setup and fit very close to the tyres, so you do get an odd bit of rub, but they keep you and the bike clean. Once setup they only take a couple of mins to remove and re-fit if you need to.

I have roadracers on my Madone, and love them. They are much better than I expected. However, the coverage is nothing like that from the SKS Longboards on my fixed gear bike. They are a solid bit of kit.

Yeah, i've had race guards before but I bought the Kinesis so I could fit full guards. It has rack mount eyelets etc.

My KS guards have just broken of in the same place, on my Kinesis TK3.... caught before swallowed in wheel but be keen to know of replacements....
