Spotted! PH jersey / rider near Frieth

@ 6.10pm tonight, coming away from Frieth as I was cycling towards Frieth... A fine bespectacled rider in an equally fine PH top. Wish I'd bought one now.

That would be ME! I was out with a group or 7 others but they had split to go back to High Wycombe and I was heading to Marlow. Strava link here. Thanks for the spot! My first outing for my Jersey and I get a spot! I've done over 30,000 miles in my Tuscan and had about 4 spots in total! There are more PH Cyclists than PH TVR drivers it seems!

Next outing for the jersey will be Friday as I ride home from work.

Excellent! The top really does look good, gutted I didn't get one. Are you based in Marlow? If so are you a member of Marlow Riders cycling club? Be good to see you there!

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Yes, I'm almost Marlow based but didn't realise the Marlow club was in existence. I'd looked for a local club about 2 years ago and only spotted the Henley one but as I've just spent a year in York, I didn't do anything about it. I've just joined my local club at work but most of them are HWY based so I'd either need to (rule 5) ride to get there and back (or take the car) or more easily, use a local club and ignore their weekend rides!

I need to get more fit for Aug as I've got a place in the Ride London 100 and my legs are lacking at the moment!

Have you looked at my Strava ride stats from today? I'm guessing I could go into the Cheetahs if the ave speed is 15-16. Which group do you ride in and are the speeds they quote representative of true averages?

The website is a bit misleading. I lead the cheetahs group (generally) and last week we did a 45 mile ride at an ave of 19 mph although this was flat-ish. You can see the write ups on the website. It would be good to see you on Saturday morning if you can make it. You'll be fine in the cheetahs. Be sure to wear the top and I'll track you down! We start at the sports club in pound lane (NOT court garden). I'm also doing the ride London event in August.
