Recomendation for cycle computers that can link to Strava
Discussion
Edge 200 if you don't care about 'proper' altitude calculations or addition sensors (heartrate, cadence etc.)
Edge 500 if you do.
Edge 510 if you want wireless uploading (through a smartphone), live tracking and quicker GPS locks.
This automates the Garmin website to Strava process if you go with the 510:

I have an Edge 500 and would recommend it, unless you really NEED wi-fi. The H/R, speed and cadence monitors are very useful for training, it has other features (I have to admit I don't use them) but things like virtual training partner, the ability to load a track you have ridden in the past to compare yourself 'live' on your route. As for uploading stuff to Strava it takes seconds via a bit of wire!
If you are not interested in cadence, H/R, altitude etc, and you have a smartphone you could save yourself a packet and just download the app.

I now have a Garmin Edge 500 having gone done the iPhone / Wahoo route. If all you want to do is track your route, with no in-ride information, then it's difficult to argue against an iPhone (other smartphones are available). But, once you get into it, you'll want to have a live readout of speed, HR, cadence, distance etc etc. This is where the Garmin comes into its own. Long battery life, as weather-proof as it's likely to get, and doesn't mind being dropped.

It's touchscreen a bit bigger and I think downloading is cable free!
It also uses GLONASS as well as traditional GPS, which translates to quicker satellite locks and better accuracy.Cost wise it's about £100 more for the bundle pack than the 500, so it depends how much the above is worth to you.

I upgraded to the 200 from an iPhone simply because it murdered the battery in my 4S. Four hours tops - and that with the screen off and in a pocket. Also: this trace was tracked from my iPhone earlier. http://app.strava.com/activities/50119358
Either I can ride through walls or it's shamefully inaccurate.

The new Cateye Stealth 50 looks good for around £100:

Ant+ so you can use it with 3rd party power, HR and cadence sensors and you can also upload to Strava etc.
