MTB saddle - recommend me one

Had a bit of an off this morning - now I need a new saddle for XC and trail riding.
I have a very slender and bony arse so something semi comfortable would be nice.

What do you chaps recommend?

You can't go wrong with a Charge Spoon. I don't know anyone who has tried one and not liked it.

Only £20ish too.

Fisik gobi. Almost every we ride with uses them, I have done two 100 mile South Downs rides on mine and its super plush!

I have a Charge spoon, its comfy and they do seem to fit lots of backsides! Start here and if its a good fit you are laughing, if its not, its £20. You will need to spend a bit of time getting the position right but they have long rails so its likely you will get on with it.

Still tempted with a £40 carbon shell from Taiwan though.... riding a hardtail you dont tend to stay seated for long!

Another vote for the Charge Spoon - I have one on both of my MTB's and find them great, enough padding to dull some of the 'hits' but not soft and splodgy.....

Charge Spoon. Did 6 days from Blackpool to Paris and it was great !

As no doubt said, different saddles work with different arses, so what is one mans luxury perch is another ideas of torture. Be prepared for a lot of trial and error, and ask the shop(s) if they've a test saddle

IEM the Charge Spoon is...OK. Reasonably durable, so-so comfort, but the stitching looks none-too-kind for lycra. Worth a punt for £20 and easy enough to sell should you not like it.

Spending so little makes me uncomfortable so I throw £80 odd on a Spesh Phenom SL which is great. Getting the Pro version soon; can't beat Spesh saddles IMO!

I spent 60 odd quid on a Spesh' saddle, it squeaks, rattles on the rails and the fabric is coming off... aside from that, it is comfy but I won't be buying another.

Mine has been faultless. Ti rails, carbon other bits. Still plenty if life left in it yet but my bling brain wants a lighter perch...!

So I bought the Spoon and it's had about a months use now - very pleased indeed, so much more comfortable that the last one.
