Garmin 800 switching itself off

My well used and previously trusty Garmin 800 has started to play up, first it completely hung up, fixed it ok with a restart though, then on Tuesday it switched it self off although there was at least 60% battery life remaining, once it restarted it was ok again though.

Anyone else has similar trouble or have any ideas on how to fix it?

He's had no problems since.

I have a Garmin 500, similar problem. I googled a reset procedure (pushing 3 buttons at the same time from memory), and it seems to have been OK since.
