Nice work

EDIT:

Whoops, sorry, this is GG...

PAY YOUR fkNG ROAD TAX!

tongue out

EDIT #2:

It's been moved to Pedal Powered... ignore comment above.

Nice work, really cool to see a PH jersey out there!

We should do a thread where we take pictures of ourselves in our jerseys in really impressive and obscure locations smile

I had the tour on the bus, never again! (You need to have done this before you understand what I am on about)

Oh, he's just a stickler for the rules... http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/

"Rule #27 // Shorts and socks should be like Goldilocks.

Not too long and not too short. (Disclaimer: despite Sean Yates’ horrible choice in shorts length, he is a quintessential hard man of cycling and is deeply admired by the Velominati. Whereas Armstrong’s short and sock lengths are just plain wrong.) No socks is a no-no, as are those ankle-length ones that should only be worn by female tennis players."

ETA:

Although, looking again at the image, he seems to have concentrated so hard on not going too short, that he has, indeed, ended up with socks that are too long. I, myself, favour the free ones that oft times come attached to the cover of 'Cycling Plus' or Cycling Weekly' magazines. Or the ankle-length ones that should only be worn by female tennis players. But then, I don't worry myself too much over "The Rules", as...
"Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men." wink

I was in a little Fiat Seicento we had rented. Going up was largely flat out in first and second gear (great fun actually hehe), but coming back down one of those coaches came round the corner on our side of the road. The brakes on the Fiat pretty much only had the 2 settings at the best of times - so when I jumped on them at seeing the coach we locked up and very nearly went off the road.

Pulled over, quick change of strides, and off we go again smile

The rules are bks.

I'll happily carry a pump on my bike and wear ankle socks...

Fixed my quote for you. I must have been typing the edit as you posted. Truly, I agree. The rules are an absolute load of

...and I carry my utterly fabulous Lezyne Road-Drive pump on a bottle cage bracket too - all that pump in jersey pocket crap, it just ruins the jersey, and feels uncomfortable. I have a saddle bag too. Shhhhh! Don't tell the 'keepers of the cog' wink

The only rules I agree with are the most wearing of coloured grand tour jerseys and the man up rules.

Excellent - I'm heading out to Tenerife next week and have plans to climb Mt Teide.
Did you hire a bike out there or bring your own?
Any routes that you'd recommend?

Oh god, is there a rule that dictates that I should carry my pump in my back pocket!!

My pump has been attached the bottle cage mounts for the last three years. So far it hasn't done any harm.

No way am I carrying a tube, pump and tools in my jersey pocket, I don't want to be jabbed in the back by an Allen key every time I move - a small saddle bag is a much better option, rules or no rules!
