Garmin on 2 bikes

I'm on the verge of buying an edge 500 but want to use it on my weekend bike and commuter without hassle (i.e. just transferring the physical unit), if I sacrifice the cadence, do I just need another mount?

As a side note, Garmin, K-Edge and Sram all have out-front mounts - are there any others/any I should avoid?

Yes, you key in details for each bike in settings (if they have different wheel sizes etc). If they're both the same it doesn't mater. You can easily get another cadence sensor linked to each bike no problems.

KEdge is excellent, but also consider the RacewareDirect mount and the BarFly

The edge 800 I bought came with 2 standard mounts if you not fussed about an out front one.

Edge 500 comes with two mounts and swaps backwards and forwards without hassle. If you don't fit a cadence sensor to the second bike you don't even need to change the calibrations or settings when moving it - just unclick from one and on to the other.

I've got a 510 and a profile for each bike, apart from not having the speed/cadence sensor on the commuting bike they're exactly the same though, I left all the settings on auto and it seems accurate.
