What Bike thread - £800-900 hardtail

Had my trusty Cube nicked and the UK are out of stock of 2013 Cube bikes in my frame size.

Insurance money beginning to burn a hole in my pocket

So where else to look... I'd love an air fork too.

I've been recommended a Whyte. Anybodies experience with this brand is very welcome...

I've hammered mine and its been perfect. Had a bottom bracket failure, took it back to Halfords who replaced it with a much better bottom bracket because they didn't have the one that came with the bike in stock.

What size frame do you need?

I have a Cube and love it, this one is £49 over budget but, has an air fork and a pretty nice set of components. Seems to be available in the sizes you'd need unless you are a midget or a giant.

Everyone seems to rave about Canyon bikes and rightly so, the spec seems excellent for the cash.

Consider a 29er too, I'm massively quicker on mine compared to the old 26er.

I've got a Scott Scale - they are very light compared to the competition so worth a look, somethin like this.

When do the 2013 bikes start to become last years model btw anyone? Is it worth waiting a bit?
