What 29er HT

Currently ride a Cotic Bfe.

I'd seriously like either a Cotic Solaris, or a Santa Cruz Highball (alloy one). Both would be seriously stretching my budget bearing in mind I'll need wheels and fork.

Any alternatives?

Most of the cheaper stuff (e.g. On-one scandal) will only take a 100mm fork and are more racy, less traily, which is not my aim...

New Ragley bigwig is a potential but its maybe a bit too burly/OTT (a bit like my Bfe is at the moment)???

Eat bread and jam for a week and buy the Solaris?

nothing else really, just do it don't buy what your not sure about.

The Scandal is great but is a racy ride and doesn't sound like what your looking for.

Two to consider would be the Orange Clockwork or a Whyte. Both have slacker head angles, around 68 degrees, so may not suit your riding style.

I must admit, I'm an orange fan, having ridden a P7 for 20 years (yes I am an old git), but I'm really pleased with the move to a Clockwork Pro.

I ride my 29er Scandal with 120mm forks.I'm faster on that than on my BFe

I do really, really like my Cotic and the Solaris is blimmin lovely... Hmm.
