I am suffering from really bad pins and needles in my hands after about an hour on my road bike (also get it on my mountain bike but not as bad), any idea which way I should go on set up to alleviate the pain or should I just MTFU?

I get it after ten minutes, you're doing well from my perspective. Quick shake of the wrists cures it for me.

Stop putting so much weight through your hands?

How well does the bike fit - as it sounds like a minor saddle adjustment might help (backwards a touch)

Think I might invest in a proper fitting.

Your not wearing your padded MTB gloves on the road biek are you? I tried it once and it really hurt. Now, post a bike fitting (needed narrower bars and shorter steam) I can ride out for 3 hours with my lad and be very comfortable. I wear some very boring Ergon gloves now with the smoothest unpadded palms.

I have a pair of Garneau road bike gloves but they are padded.

I recently had this after buying garneau gloves. Realised I had done them too tight.

Losen your gloves if you are wearing them.
