Discount on 2013 bikes once 2014 ones arrive?
Discussion
You can usually find 20% discounts floating around the end of the season... but we're not quite there yet and the vast majority of 2014 bikes are still a little while away so that seems like a fair deal on a entry level bike. you're only £20 off what that level of discount would give you and I'd say you will only get 25%+ when the retailler is trying to shift stock quickly to make room for new bikes or keep cash flowing in through the winter.
I see dissapointed people who miss out on the bike they've been looking at around this time each year as they've waited a little too long, I have no experience of selling Trek bikes and their stock levels but I'd happily trade £20-£30 to be able to ride the bike throughout August.
Try and get some bottle cages / bottles and some innertubes thrown in for that price.

I bought my 2010 Merida Road Race 905 in the October of 2010. (It was already 'last years model', to my surprise).
RRP was £1560 and I paid £1130 for it after discount. I'd gone to buy a 903, with, I think, Tiagra on it, and in budget at approx £850.
After some mental man maths, and Stuart, the owner, making a call to the importer, he offered me the 905 which leapfrogged me over the 105 equipped 904, onto an all-Ultegra bike. A deal was struck for shoes/pedals/bottles/cages/jacket too, so it came to £1234 all in (Shimano R131 shoes, Wellgo 'Look Delta' copy pedals, and a brand name jacket, with Elite cages and Merida bottles). Being a shorty worked in my favour. It usually does if you are particularly short or tall, as the 'average Joe' sizes are the easiest to match to customers during the peak season at full price.
The warning about not dithering too long over the purchase is a good point. You can play the game of nerve, and be lucky, grabbing the last UK bike in your size for peanuts, but if you blink first, someone else gets that bike, and in the best gameshow tradition, you walk away with nothing. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.
