Been riding daily for a bit in normal clothes, did a new p.b ride today of 55 miles (89km for the french lovers) and hit a clothing problem.
Chaffing,in a possibly mispelt word!

It seems bibshort/tights may be the answer so a few questions.

1- Anyone recommend a good but cheap make/website too look at?

2- Do you where a shirt under or over the shoulder straps?

3- Im 6ft,38 waist circa 29-30 leg so in the messed up world of cycle clothing what size am i looking at, xl?

Will only be used on a longer ride so once a week or so so dont want to spend much if poss.

wiggle - dhb aerons WITH THE RED PAD.
They do 3 levels, the 23 quid ones are st. The red pad ones got me through 140 miles the other weekend in the balzing sun, sweaty as hell. Arse didn't feel a thing =)
To be fair, I'd gone belt and braces by putting some sudocrem twixt bag and leg.

I go base layer - bibs - jersey, in summer obviously the bibs are on the bottom.

I'd vote for Lusso too. Good value and fairly decent. HRM, then bib shorts and then shirt.

You'd likely want XL.

Ive taken the plunge and ordered some aerons and a matching jersey.

I seem to be on the border of L and XL so went for XL as they seem to be a bit smaller thqn quoted.

Will check out the Lusso stuff too,if its anything like the interior in my Alfa Gtv Lusso then its got to be good, wonder if they do tan leather?!

Do it, nhw.
It'd totally outdo the lycra crowd - lederhosen bibshorts! if you wrote rapha on the side they'd probably even sell...

Lusso is good kit, not sure on the leather idea. Just another thing don't wear your pants/boxers with your padded bib shorts.
