As i like the look of it, and it is not too far away from me to collect. Got an offer in of less than the asking price and am waiting on acceptance/decline.
Opinions on Cube? is £300 less than RRP a reasonable saving on new? Or am I better off slinging the same sort of money at a new Cannondale liek this http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m1b0s2p4346/CANNONDAL...

Good bike but massively overpriced. Wait a month or so and you'll pick a new 2013 model up for that price. I did that 2 years ago and got a LTD Race (model up from this) for £800 down from over £1100. Cubes always seem to be overstocked and drop massively in price as the new year models come in stock

Try this £760 new for almost the same bike only this one has better brakes and forks. 20" only though
They never cost £1150 new - nearer £950 new. Maybe the seller is including the spare wheels in the original cost?

Hmm. Trouble is that the bikes that are discounted all seem to be either very big or very small frame sizes. At 5'10" i'm dead average and looking for the most popular size.
If I buy a new one, assuming i can get a discounted one in my size, that's £750 + computer (say £20) which is still £140 more than the £650 he is willing to take, and I get a spare pair of wheels, too.

Fair enough and £650 is a better deal. The wheels may come in handy - they will if you ride both on and off road.
Price aside, they are very good bikes. Fast and agile with decent kit for the money. I don't know much about the forks on that one - all I know is that it did not sell well - probably because most people want Fox or RS. Likewise with the brakes

Ah well, he's retracted the offer now. Guess he's had a better one.
Now looking at a Whyte 901...
Nice frame on that one - different geometry : less racy/twitchy. Whytes do tend to be dearer though with lower level kit on them. Now looking at a Whyte 901...
It still may be worth waiting for the end of season sales though. Even for a medium framed bike
