I was tempted by this Felt Z85 with Shimano 105 for £693.75 - that's 25% off. But I ended up buying a Triban 5a today instead. Still think the Felt's a good deal.

A mate got a few hundred off a scott scale 950 29er so just over a grand.

I did the same last year with the 2012 version.

Seems to be standard procedure to get between 20-30% off rrp. You've gotta be quick though, procrastination does not favour the bargain hunter.

I am going to hunt for something and use 30% as my aim I think. I want something a bit more 'relaxed' for bike rides with the other half. The slightly more 'racing' geometry of my current bike just kills my back when riding too slow.

I'm thinking some sort of classic or perhaps a single speed.

I've just bought a Scott Scale 30. It was half price from Paul's Cycles. It's a racey thing with an xt group set & carbon frame....it even came with Shimano spd's.

I spotted a a Cube something or other down from £2800 to £2k in Exeter the other night. (Shop was closed.) It might be the only one, I don't know what model it was, but it was black with blue and white, I assume Carbon, and running Ultegra DI.

I suspect it's a good deal. And that I wouldn't fit. Which is probably for the best.
