Good month for me smile

It's been my biggest month of the year, and I should have covered 835 miles by the time I get home tonight, with a 50 miler planned tomorrow morning, so almost 900 miles for the month.

I have managed to ride to work every day (22 days) and have done both a solo 100 miler and 80 miler with a mate along with getting out on a club run for the first time in ages! I'm starting to feel like my old self and was even able to dish out some pain on the club run last week smile

Not looking forward to the change in the weather tho frown

ps. I have not put fuel in a car for nearly 2 months smile

Holidays got in the way for me biggrin

I will crack 500km on the ride home tonight and add 80km tomorrow.

The highlight will have been last weekend in Cumbria where I climbed almost 5000ft in 70miles.

This is my first month of road bike ownership and I've done 400 miles - quite chuffed with that.
Hoping to keep at that level for the foreseeable but am unsure how realistic this is once the weather breaks!

I can't really imagine doing 900 S10GTA! Are you tired?

Crap for me. Started well with RideLondon and a decent time in my club evening TT the Wednesday after. Decided then to have a week off the bike to do some other things and I had done loads of miles in June and July. Coming to the end of the week off and I twanged the old injury in my back that had already written off May.

Just about right again now so Sportive in the Peaks booked for Sunday. I did cheer myself up by buying a new bike mid month.

Not overly as I did similar for the June and July but I have taken it easy this last week as I was getting a sore throat, which is my indication to back off a bit. I'd be less tired if my 8 month old stopped waking up during the night mad

That sucks. I broke my ribs a couple of years back and it hurt like hell!

Not great as I broke my collar bone following a small accident with a tree stump. Not had a chance to get back out on the bike since the first w/end in August. Fingers crossed September is a lot better!

Not too bad, my first full month of having a bike..

I've done 155 miles, and going to do 50+ miles tomorrow. Pretty happy with that.

I know the feeling! That's a great 3 month's mileage - 45 miles each working day to match that is 'possible' for me, in terms of time, but I think I'd be ruined by the end of week 1!

Pretty boss. Knees, whilst still troublesome, are manageable on the bike, so finally managing to get out properly.
Managed 1400ish Km. A good 200Km down on last year, but it'll do.

Been a good month for me! biggrin Did a 102 mile sportive in the new forest earlier in the month. Doing the BHF London to Southampton tomorrow, which is ~83 miles/4,697ft, plus training rides in between.

Currently my August totals are:
Distance 556.8 miles
Climbing 24,716 feet

After tomorrow:
Distance 639.8 miles
Climbing 29,413 feet

Loving it! biggrin

How can you expect to improve if you stick to the norm every month? Ride more and you will get stronger and faster.

Cycled around 300 miles thanks largely to London and Mendips sportives, a few evening sessions on the rollers, bought a new project bike, good month! thumbup

Shocking month for me thanks to working away frown

534 miles, might sneak another 60-80 in tonight/tomorrow depending on what time I get home tonight, and what the missus has planned for me tomorrow.

Hopefully September should be a good month for me as my project is moving to an office 25 miles from home, so I should be able to get 50 miles a day in Tue/Wed/Thu

Will end on >700km of along and >10,000m of up. Not unhappy with that, given it doesn't include the bit of LEL that fell in August, I had two weeks off, and I was meant to only do recovery rides.

Actually, it was probably a bit much, given the awful state of my Achilles.

About 365 miles this month which I'm reasonably pleased with, effectively had this week off as I was away with the other half for the first couple of days, got in a one day commute on Wednesday and then picked up a stomach bug stopping me from riding in the last couple of days. May get up early tomorrow and bump it up over 400, or I can give September a head start on Sunday, decisions decisions...

Bit less than planned due to a few weekends away and some recovery time after the weekends, but going to end up with almost 600 miles so quite happy after a week off which has seen me ride pretty much every day. Hopefully September will be a busy one.
