Going to watch UCI World Road Championships in Tuscany

By sheer luck my wife has booked an extended family holiday (her side of the family) to coincide with the UCI worlds in Tuscany.

Was thinking of catching the mens individual TT on Weds - don't suppose anyone has any recommendations as to where to go watch it?

Finish in Florence would be the logical option but am guessing it will be very busy and no idea as to how suitable for young family (2.5 year old and 9 month old).

Any suggestions appreciated.

If you just want to see the riders, the advantage of a TT is that it doesn't much matter where you spectate, you can almost certainly find somewhere on the course that's quiet and will have a decent view. Doubt that your kids will be that interested so you will have to think of something to amuse them ! Mine used to very much like blowing whistles whenever a rider came along.

Florence is a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of at the best of times, I suggest somewhere along the route.
