Anyone got experience of these?
I'm looking into getting an AM bike and these keep cropping up.
They cost £2700 but the spec looks incredible for the money (BOS F&R suspension, XO groupset, XO brakes, reverb stealth dropper post)
All the reviews are overwhelmingly positive - scoring higher than bikes which are twice the price.
Obviously the buy direct with no LBS support is a downside - but I can't see any others.
Anyone got any insights before I give my credit card a pasting?

A couple of things to consider - 2.7k is a lot of money if you don't get on with it. You really should try and get a ride on one before you buy. I speak from painful personal experience on that one - a ride round the shop carpark is will not allow you to find the bike's weaknesses.
Also, have you ridden many 7" travel bikes? They're bordering on irrelevant for general UK use, unless you're into uplifts.
I maintain that 5" travel is the best compromise for UK trail centres.

None direct, but they look a cracking offering.
Yeah it's a 170mm bike, but it's an Enduro type bike, or "sixincher" in old speak and not really a burlier Demo 7, TR250, Uzzi type freeride bike, it's meant to climb and 'do anything' rather than just for hucking off North Shore and all that shizzle, 5" will be quicker around mixed terrain, but this will own the downs.

I was looking at the Wicked Pro 650b, but the BB looked a little too high. Yesterday though, they released this, so I ordered one straight away ;

Just wondered how you found the service and whether, 6 months on, you've had any issues with the BOS kit ?

By the time I came round to buying it had sold out in the 26" - so I bought the wicked comp instead which didn't have Bos shocks so I'm afraid I can't comment.
But I'm beyond happy with the bike I got - and for the money it was astounding.
Service was great - bike arrived when they said it would - and has been flawless so haven't tested the aftercare.
The new one looks great - enjoy.

BOS kit is awesome and super reliable. Just brace yourself when it does come to need servicing. The UK are currently on their third distributor in as many years, currently jungle products. The factory are an absolute joke when it comes to after care service, although I believe they have just employed someone to deal with aftersales care, so I get the impression it's getting better! Before I think they just filtered all emails other than sales enquires into their junk folder!
I have used J-tech for non official service and he's good, and have heard loads of people sending their kit over to Ireland for service.
All those issues aside the BOS kit is without doubt the best performing and most reliable.

Sounds like they're improving. I have a friend who's an ex WC mechanic, so hopefully he'll be able to do the servicing as long as we can get the parts if needed I have used J-tech for non official service and he's good, and have heard loads of people sending their kit over to Ireland for service.

That's part of the problem, BOS won't release any service kits to anybody other than their 'service agents'. We had to twist their arms to even tell us what weight oil to use in the Idylles.
