New wheels question

New 6700s arrived today. Wow, really struggled getting the tyres on (Conti folders) and had to use levers, wasn't planning on running tubeless anyway. So first question, there was a small plastic item with a magnet embedded in a bag attached to the rear skewer, anyone know what that is for?

Magnet for a bike computer, you know the old fashioned sort before everyone moved to gps and proper data acquisition.

I use a GPS computer with a speed and cadence sensor, the speed reading is more accurate than using GPS alone.

It may be a magnet for keeping the spoke nipples in place if and when you change a spoke. I have just bought a set of Campag wheels and I got a magnet with them purely for this purpose as you cannot gain access to the spoke nipples from the rim. Have you bought a set of 2 way fit wheels i.e. for both tubs and clinchers?

Yes the 6700s are clincher compatible tubeless. Seems like a logical reason thanks.

Logical, but the first answer was the correct one.

I've got the 6700s and it's a magnet that's designed to fit on the bladed profile of the spokes (slide over narrow profile and then rotate 90 degrees to lock in place).
