Best hard tail about £1k

Well my faithful rockhopper which I'd slowly customized over the years was stolen from the garage this morning.

I have little hope of it coming back, but you never know.

Anyone recommend a replacement for about a £1k. Proper do it all bike.

That 456 is good value for money (and looks great in the Raw finish)

Also look at Canyons, I'm not sure what stock levels are like for 2013 bikes but the 2014 bikes should be available soon if not already. They again are good value for money.

I was going suggest a P7, but the last one looked more like a jump bike and it's dropped off the line-up this year altogether.

Me too, I have a 2009 P7 Pro that is a peach. Geometry on the Crush is identical I'm pretty sure.

I bought a Whyte 901 almost 2 years ago for a little over £1k (£1100ish I think) and absolutely cannot fault it. Orange Crush was the other I considered. Don't think you can go wrong with either.
