What 29" mtb tyre?

Currently got schwalbe smart sams on my cube analog, but managed to put a pretty decent gash in the rear sidewall today...

Been quite happy with them but do find they slip quite a bit on roots and larger rocks and they seem to clog up.

We are going on red routes, bridleways, tracks - a bit of everything really!

For what you are riding on I would suggest nobby nic evo's or hans dampf

Continental Mountain Kings 2. Cheap and a great all round tyre. However in standard form they are very susceptible to punctures. Go tubeless with the above tubeless version or X Kings or Rubber Queens.

I am running two sets of Schwalbe's (Rocket Rons and Racing Ralph's) at the minute brilliant tyres but I find they don't last as long as the Conti's.

I found Nobbs didn't last to long either.

Anyway what ever you choose pay a bit extra and go tubeless for the winter at least. Nothing worse than trying to get tyres off your rims with cold fingers.

I'm a big fan of the Specialized tyres. Currently running Ground Control's on the rear and Purgatory on the front on my bikes.

They're a decent price at £30 a tyre and are tubeless ready.

If you've got rims that will run tubeless, all you'll need is some tubeless rim tape, valves and some sealant. If not, you can buy kits that contain rim strips with valves in (they look similar to a split inner tube) along with the sealant etc.
