Almost runover again...
Me... Lit up like a Christmas tree with LEDs and yellow jacket etc
Driver... Pitch dark yet driving with no lights on!

Happens all the time yet I was under the impression the driving test was tough? Obviously not...

And yet this morning I had someone on a bike riding along the pavement beside as we both approached the entrance I was turning into. I wondered if he had any intention of slowing down as he went from pavement, to road, to pavement infront of me so I slowed and kept an eye on him.
No. He just went straight across only bothering to even glance over his shoulder once he was half way across the road. Would have been a bit late for him if I hadn't spotted what he was about to do.
So as usual, there's idiots out there on ALL forms of transport... make sure an look out for yourself and assume everyone is an idiot! Remember, 50% of them have an IQ of less than 100.

Ironically I have had the opposite recently, had it a couple of times on rural B roads in rush hour cars stay behind me for 1/2 - 1 miles instead of passing! Some even stayed very far back.
Not sure if some drivers are taking care after the publicised London deaths

I spoke to a guy the other week who has a 17 mile each way commute.
he has an old fixy bike which now has 13 notches on the top tube - one for each wing mirror he has bashed off various taxis and errant motorists who have wronged him.
he also told me (and I have no reason not to believe him) that when he was nearly knocked off by a bike in south london by a bus in a fit of rage he took his D lock from his bike and smashed up the windscreen of the bus. this was after trying to speak to the driver who then laughed in his face.
I am of course not encouraging such actions nor would I partake in them myself, however I can see, if you cycle on a regular basis and have enough close shaves - you could be driven to express your anger and frustration in such dramatic ways. I suspect we will probably see an increase in cycle rage, especially in London, as time presses on..
