I have Crud racers on my winter bike which keep me nice and dry. Sadly the chaps behind weren't so impressed - very muddy faces!
If you ride in a group then Race Blade long will keep in the good books, if not crud racer will do you fine.
The v2 roadracers come with longer tail parts. Work very well. Depends slightly on the angle of the seat stay and therefore brake bridge I guess. If you ride in a group then Race Blade long will keep in the good books, if not crud racer will do you fine.
Yeh a lot of guys turned up on Sunday with SKS race blades, don't offer much (i.e. any!) protection in the seat tube area though!

I didn't get on with that model, I use
http://www.bike-treks.co.uk/298830/products/sks_ra... as it gives very good protection.
Little bit more money but 100% better mudguard.

+1 for the crud catchers, had a couple of sets on my road bike (over a few years and many miles) and they're brilliant. After consulting on here and elsewhere, I bought some SKS race blade longs for my single speed a couple of months back. Don't. They're sh!t. Clip at the apex of the mudguard, where it attaches to bracket, won't undo on one and won't stay on on the other. Currently attached with a rubber band, not what I'd expect for relatively pricey items (compared with road racer2s).

Surprised to hear that because mine have been very good and lots of people have recommended them!I use a combination of Crud Road Racer 2 and SKS Race Blade Long, my son also uses the same combination on his winter bike. The Crud's are good for the money but do flex a fair bit on the rear mudguard whereas the SKS's do not flex.
The SKS are very good and I've had no problem with them apart from the front part of the rear mudguard which was useless as it covered my feet with water and road grinme. For this part of the rear mudguard I use the front part of the rear Crud RR2 i.e. the part that runs from the rear brake caliper to the bottom of the seat tube meeting the Bottom Bracket and this also protects the front derailleur.
I initially bought the Cruds two seasons ago and they lasted well for that period before falling apart. The club i ride with always moaned that the rear mudguard (Crud RR2) was way to flexy and covered anyone immediately behind me with water and other crap on the road. I bought the SKS's in January this year and as said use a combination of the two which works incredibly well and they are still like new and working well unlike the Crud's after a year.
If you shop around you can get the SKS Race Blade Longs for about £35 delivered, which isn't too expensive.
