getting back into riding again

I'm looking to get back into the saddle again after a few years away from riding, need some advice on if this trek would be a good buy for me? I'm going to be doing a bit of all sorts of riding so I'm after a full sus xc bike to handle what I'm after, I'm liking this one at the moment for the price http://www.evanscycles.com/products/trek/fuel-ex5-... any help would be great and also any other recommendations for other bikes as well.
