After much deliberation, cogitation and way too much time on the internet while at work - sorry work IT manager - I've got myself a new ride, just in time for a 50km ride tomorrow
It is a Giant TCR 1 with full Ultegra. Not ridden it yet but pondering a quick spin before dinner just to see how it feels. First impressions are it feels a bit more racy than the starter bike I have come from, an alu frame Merida with 105 on.
I had boiled my choice down to a Defy and a Planet X RT58 but the LBS had TCR in as a cancelled order and more or less price matched the Planet X. The beauty of getting it from LBS is no waiting for couriers to deliver the bike and then get it built so Xmas riding ahoy.
