Really did not understand the sand. Do we have an expert, surely the rolling resistance on sand would be much higher? The tyres he was using certainly must have been?
Was this where a limited budget production showed that is was lads from the sheds?
I thought it was a great watch and his enthusiasm ans presenting style was enjoyable.

I think they chose pendine as is the longest straight available... it also made for great TV :-) Would also love to see the power ratings, because frankly Hoy, Kenny, maybe even Cav would smash whatever he managed on a couple of weeks' training...

Liked the alternative to the usual mahoosive chainring, would love to see just how far the record could be taken on smooth tarmac with a powerhouse cyclist from the GB pursuit team or such.
full credit to Guy and the team but also the truck/driver was a star in the process, as without it's sheer bhp and torque and driving skill being able to pull that barn door through the air to create the negative drag for Guy to sit in and get sucked along I fear no matter how large his balls he would not have had the sustained wattage to keep up behind a lesser fairing.
As he has a GPS readout he should upload it as a segment to Strava now of course :-)
