Canyon Nerve XC 8, 2011 spec

Hi

I currently ride a 2009 Giant Reign 1 and love it.

A mate is selling a Canyon Nerve XC 8 2011 spec.

It is in mint condition, and I am interested in taking it off his hands.

Has anyone any experience of this bike, plus any comparisons to my current Giant?

I do mostly tracks with the odd visit to Forrest of Dean and Afan Forrest where the Giant comes into its own, but always hard work going up hills.

I have the 2011 XC7, which has SRAM x9 drivetrain, Elixir R brakes and fox fork/shock. It is an excellent bike, and the 120mm travel is the perfect all-round setup for my riding.

The bike is light enough for all day XC rides but it will cope with downhill and trail centres. I spent a week in Morzine on mine.

I've got one, all be it with Shimano on it as I bought the chassis from a mate. There are three Canyons in our group and they are all brilliant value for money. Not one issue amongst them despite full weekends at cwmcarn, coed y brennin and afan twice last year, plus every sunday in the mud in hants.
