I was aiming for 500 miles this month, after starting my extended commute ride. Sadly, I've only managed 370 - pretty naff, but still 370 towards my target of 5,000 for the year!

Only around 100, knee bursitis (not caused by cycling) has limited my outings.

236.9 miles for January, with 13,340 feet of climbing. Not too bad and a whole lot better than the zero miles I managed last January wink

BUT. I need to really up my game if I am to achieve my 5,000 mile goal for the year.

1014km (or 640 miles)

40hrs
22 rides
23 pr's
Gran Fondo 1 completed
Prove it completed
2 puncture
1 crash
Numerous soakings

I've only been using my the single speed since the beginning of November and loving it.

This is January's details

799.5km (or 496.8 miles)
18380 feet of elevation
31hrs
22 rides
42 pr's
Gran Fondo 1 completed
Prove It Ride completed
0 puncture
0 crash
1 dampening (not wet enough to call soaking)

Not too bad considering I'm only back cycling less than a year, after a 25 year break
and I'll be getting my free bus pass in a few years time...biggrin

About 450 miles this month and only 100 or so of them were out on the bike, the rest have been on the turbo or rollers due to crappy weather and too much work on.

On a brighter note, I've almost finished the Tour of Sufferlandria on the turbo so should be ready to go for it when I get the chance to get out and about.

Bitter sweet for me, 'between contracts' at the moment so I have time to ride - but riding does not pay the mortgage! The contract market is always slow at this time of year so weather permitting Feb and poss March could be good for miles as well.....

1021 miles/1643 kms
57 hours 40 mins
22 rides
47,228 ft climbed
57 PB's

Longest ride - 101 miles (spur of the moment so not prepped for it, wrecked by the last 10 miles)
Grand Fondo 1 - done
Prove it - done
Chilblains in my fingers and toes - done, and now thankfully gone!

Work has been busy, but had a decent start on my 100 mile a month target.
Only got completely drenched once, which is a bonus in January!

108 miles.
4 rides.
3940 feet elevation.
9 hours 32 minutes.

Aiming for more this month with a big one planned for tomorrow morning. smile

Also around the 450 miles mark here (731kms to be exact). Did a 100km ride for the first time too (at an average speed of 29.5 km/hr, which I was a bit surprised at). Overall, quite a good month really.

eta. Around 14000m/46000 feet elevation if you believe Strava (which I don't. It has a habit of overestimating a lot on a few particular bits of road around here. Probably nearer 10000m).

242 miles, 95% on the MTB, with about half of that off road. It's a bit hilly round here so there's 22,103 ft of climbing.

It's all going to go wrong mid February anyway, I've got at least three weeks off the bikes after I've had my varicose veins stripped out, followed by two weeks to prepare for the first round of the Nutcracker XC series.

180 miles off road this month. Just swopped some tyres on my winter cube road bike as an incentive to get out on it this weekend as the Lionheart is in March and haven't ridden a road bike since November !!

Hit my 500mile [no commuting] monthly target thanks to fab lights, dodging the weather and application of rule 5. Sod all this week though but back in the saddle on Sunday with an early start

Some highlights, but otherwise quite poor. Lost my mojo at some point, I've also been doing more shorter, slower rides to help my girlfriend to complete the January prove it challenge...
Spending a lot of time on my mtb at the moment as well, which kills the average speeds.

570 miles
28,901ft climbed
47hrs
33 rides
Gran Fondo 1 completed (my first century - with nearly 6000ft of climbing!)
Prove it completed
Huge cluster of 7!!! Punctures. Changed tyres....
More soakings than I can count...

Only 120 miles for me and then a week in val d'isere which I have returned from with a wrist injury and some leg grumbles which ruled out most of this week. February is getting kicked off with a 30-40 miler which would be my longest ride. Let's hope my wrist and legs don't make it a pain the whole way.

17,000 ft elevation gain, one nice of 1,400ft smile about430km in total, which is 430 km more than last year and quite happy considering the non stop rain we have had
