Project Bike Build...…is completed!!
Discussion
Evening all...... So I started the "Project Build A Bike" in Jan in an attempt to get myself a winter bike and protect my precious Trek Project One from the crap weather we been having!!
It's now complete - all sourced from eBay the spec is:
Cannondale R1000 XL (61cm)
Campagnolo Sirocco Wheels (old set I had from a previous bike)
Campagnolo Veloce drive train, brakes etc
10 speed miche cassette
Richey 44cm handlebars
Stem (only put this as cost me 99p on eBay for a 130mm!!!!)
All in I think I have spent prob around £500 to get it up and running (not including the wheels as I had them from before). I think a pretty fair deal for a frame that originally cost something like $2k (full bike)
I'm pleased and enjoyed the process

The fleet (not including fixie!!!!)

(Apologies for side shots no idea how to turn them!!)

I'd swap them over on that rack so you are not hanging the expensive carbon frame from the top tube. I appreciate its probably featherweight but its not ideal.
Is that bad? I was about to put up a rack to store mysummer carbon in the same way...shalmaneser said:

The answer was very hard indeed.
Be careful with carbon frames but they're not that fragile. There is a large margin for safety built in.
