maintainance intervals?

My mileage has been going steadily up on a rolling basis.
Up to 600+ a month at the moment and when summer hits and the sun comes out that's going to rocket.
I put over a thousand on my new winter road / cx bike in its first six weeks...

I've been going with a weekly clean and lube, but I'm starting to wonder what else I need to pay attention to.

Any recommendations as to what else should be looked at and at what sort of intervals? I'm running a mix of sram group sets on a couple of bikes (x9, rival and apex - force on the summer carbon).

I don't have regular set maintenance per se, just do stuff as and when, however I will check chain wear once a month and remove/degrease/dry/relube it, check bolt tightness all round and check for any play in BB, headset, hubs etc. In the winter I will ensure that brake pads and rims are clean and grit free after every ride. About 3 times a year will strip hubs and pedals and regrease and remove, reapply assembly paste and replace seatpost to avoid it seizing up. Once a year will totally strip the bike including BB, clean everything and replace cables etc

Just do stuff when required. The one you need to pay attention to is the rims, as they wear out quicker in the poor weather. I've just blown £150 on another set as mine have worn out.

My main concern is the wheels as they are the component that is getting the most abuse. I've just paid to have the bearings replaced on my rear RS80 and they are only 6 months old, but they have been used in all weathers since May of last year.

My bike has a major service every year and maybe a minor service too. I find commuting really increases the wear and tear on a bike. So much so, I've decided to buy a CX bike for commuting.

Nothing will change, a CX bike will still wear out just as fast!
