The problem with stills and video of "near misses" is that the lens doesn't see exactly what your eye sees, so you get a slightly altered perception of how far away the vehicles are. They are far closer than they appear to be, and it's not only GoPros and such that suffer from the "Doesn't look so bad" attitude from viewers - the same is true when you see drivers posting up near miss videos from the dashcams. The camera really does lie

and a camera at night will be useless?
