Okay, budget is £2k, and for the money I simply can't beat this spec:

I already have a PX Stealth Pro Carbon TT bike, a PX Pro Carbon Road bike and a Ribble 7005 Sportive so am a bit of a fan of the more budget brands already. That said, I have always had a hankering for one of the big brand names and would sell a limb for a Specialized S Works but have nowhere near the budget for that! The Ribble R872 looks nice but not quite as nice as the PX.
So, over to the learned PH massive; can any of you offer up an alternative?!

That Canyon with Mavics is pretty stunning; never thought you'd get Mavics at that price point, definitely food for thought!
As for the Boardman, to my shame, I'd never even considered them. Might have a trip to my local Halfords to see them in the flesh!

£2200 Specialised Tarmac with ultegra this is a superb frame and all over the grand tour races albeit they use the 11r grade carbon frame whereas this is 9r.
And of course, the cervelo R3 which people scoff because it's 105 and has low end wheels whilst forgetting that the frameset alone is £1700 and half the team will have used it this week.... So you get the rest if the bike for £300! If you want the best frame for your budget, this is your bike and you can upgrade over time.
£1850 cannondale super six with 105 a great bike for the money. A bit racier than the other two mind so you'll need to get the fit right.
