Where to mtb in Somerset?

I apologise for the rather simple souding question, as I know Somerset has mendips and cheddar etc but..

Where are good cross country type tracks around where I live (Somerton/Yeovil). I have been over to Ashton Court a few time and realised I need a bit of fitness going on. I have my road bike out for a few miles a few times a week but still it doesn't do much for off road skills.

So does anyone know of any good trails around Yeovil? More than haooy to put the bike rack on and drive an hour or so for some where good

Will have to do a bit of bike modification then yellowjack, I have a bike and a surfboard so sure I can get something working

Thanks for the ideas, not sure how I forgot stourhead I've even worked there in the past! Ideal with maps of the quantocks as well.
