I fancy getting shot of my white/dirty beige bar tape on my crosser. I've seen an effect I really like but have no idea how I would carry it out. This is the effect I'm after.

That's just white-edged tape, isn't it? So just buy some like that and apply!

Any links? I have looked for tape like that and it's not easy to find. You can buy the duo tape but that's half way down the bar to change colour.

Thanks for the title, I had seen this, a few sites say no longer in stock, I'd heard supacaz is meant to do some but can't seem to find it it. I would gave a play but bar tape isn't cheap.

Zipp tape, pretty cheap and decent. I have some Fizik tape on the other bike and it's rank, smells like fish and chips now and refuses to wear out.

I've had Zipp Service Course on a bike for maybe 10 weeks now and it's already worn through on one of the bends. It's st IMO!

I've had Zipp service course on my bars for the last 2500km or so and it's been fine, very good tape IMO.

I reckon my Zipp tape lasted 2500-3000km before it was starting to look a bit shabby. It's still on there but needs to be changed. It's cheap though and feels every bit as good as Lizard DSP which was the most expensive and least hard wearing of any tape I have tried.

That's odd, maybe it's just me! I've used Pro and Fizik before with no problems so it doesn't make much sense.

I think I might be doing something wrong with my tape, it's half and half rubber/leather and seems to just keep bunching up and creating lumps on the bars, I've got it OK at the moment but it's not great. Would you suggest that cork tape might be a better option?

pembo, you mean it bunches up and moves when you are riding and gripping the bars?

If so I would suggest it's not sticking to your handlebar very successfully, or you may have not pulled it tight enough when applying the tape.

Did you wrap it in the correct direction?

There is a good range here & I still prefer the old Cinelli cork stuff.

White is very nice but is inevitably grubby after a few rides.
There are some very good youtube videos on tips for wrapping bars. e.g.

I love my Lizard Skins DSP tape, so far it's; showing little sign of wear, comfy, easy to clean & grippy in all conditions smile

I can't ride it yet, not got any wheels! It's just in putting the tape on I'm having the trouble, as i wrap the tape at an angle the bottom side of the bars seems to bunch up and not look right, I will try to get a pic today
