Classic Team Cars

My posting on this week's Shed of the Week took me to this thread on Retrobike and thought some folk in here may find it interesting...

Quite like the idea of having a cooking 70s Peugeot/Citroen/Volvo/Merc in team colours and logos. But my absolute favourite from this is the Bianchi Alfa Berlina...imagine turning up to a sportive in one of those.

I had a quick Google search for team cars but only came up with this thread and lots of photos of modern Skoda Octavias and XF Jags, which seem a bit boring in comparison, but that probably reflects my taste for older cars.

Team Holdsworth/Campagnolo for me. I loved their orange bikes, and the Ford team cars they had...

That MkIII Cortina is ace - when pro-cycling met Shoestring!

Makes me wonder why they used the saloon versions of models that had stonking great estate types though.

I was always on the look out for a suitable livery for my Volvo. Shame it got written off. That Molteni one would've been perfect.
